What do you do?
I am a part-time cashier and bagger at a regional grocery store chain.
Advantages and disadvantages of this job
The advantages of this job are the schedule is easy to adjust, flexible in hours, and you can work any time of day from 6:00 am-10:00pm. The cons are low pay around $7.50, a stressful environment, threats from the corporate office, and ill-tempered management.

Well at this store you set your own semi-permanent schedule. It’s fairly easy to change your work availability and ask days off.

Is there anything to be aware of in the environment?
You do have to stand for 8 hours but I personally don’t feel that is a big deal, customers are not afraid to insult you an anything from your voice to your height so if you are senstive this is probably not the position for you, and you should probably be able to lift at least 30 pounds up and be able to gold it up long enough to scan.
